My story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
We have both foolishly decided to run the Flora London Marathon 2009 in order to support The Gorilla Organization - a very worthwhile charity that deserves as much exposure and support as we can possibly give.
The Gorilla Organization works internationally to save the world's last remaining gorillas in the wild, by funding small grass-roots projects, run by local African partners that tackle the real threats to the gorilla's long term survival. We’d also like to think that raising money to see the pair of us staggering over the finishing line, looking sweaty, gross and knackered for a good cause, would raise a few smiles.
At the minute, running for the bus is a bit of a struggle, so the next four months of training are going to be painful and challenging but we are strongly committed to this cause - and need all the help we can get! Even the 50p change from your lunch on Monday morning will help us get closer to our £3000 target, and hopefully by donating to us you’ll get that warm fuzzy feeling from your daily good deed.

The Gorilla Organization works to protect the endangered mountain gorilla in its native habitat. It also works to ensure that local people benefit from their unique natural heritage. The Organization, founded by the late Dian Fossey who lived with the gorillas, is involved in education, conservation and public awareness.
