We've chosen to row from Wallingford, through Goring and Pangbourne to the Oratory Boathouse at Mapledurham....a trip of 10+ miles. We're hoping to encourage as many people as possible to take part .
The challenge starts at the Oxford Brookes / Oxford University boathouses in Wallingford. We aim to row non-stop, passing through 3 locks on the way, Cleeve, Goring and Pangbourne before reaching our destination. Obviously we'll be expecting some rousing support from the public along the way...
Our aim is to arrive back at the Oratory boathouse by mid afternoon in time for a BBQ and party - a way to thank everyone who has taken part, and to celebrate the life of Jeff Cronyn who sadly passed away in December.
For full details see - http://www.goringgapbc.org.uk/Sponsored_Row_2009.htm
We raised over £4000 at our last sponsored row in 2007..... we're aiming a little higher this time - £5k+. Every pound given can help to make a lasting difference so please give generously and invite your friends and work colleagues to help out too.
