Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last December Abi Hobbs was born with a cleft palate which is a hole in the top of her soft palate. This can cause problems with her feeding, hearing, speech and possible teeth development. She will have an operation at John Radclifffe in Oxford in June to close the hole, but will continue to have speech and hearing assesmenst untill she is 15 years old.

The Cleft charity CLAPA help children and families like Abi's by providing practical and emotional support throughout their lives.

The sport-a-smile team pledge to take on a minimum of 18 challenging and sweat inducing sports for the next 8 months, aiming to do 2 a month.

This is all to raise money for CLAPA. It will include football, squash, badminton, basketball and tennis tournaments, ice skating, cycling, running, walking, aerobics, dancing , a boot camp and even a 160ft Bungee Jump!!! Now thats got to be worth sponsering!!

1 in 700 children are born every year with this condition so CLAPA work is vital.

Please support our very worthy cause by sponsering us to complete this mammoth challenge by December 2011 and help continue bringing smiles!!!!

Thank you so much for your support and if you are interested in taking part in any of the sports challenges please contact sport_a_smile@yahoo.co.uk and help us raise even more.
