Story

April 23rd - 30th, i cycled from John o Groats to Lands End in 7 days in order to raise money and awareness of Sport4life. After two good days to start, i had two difficult days with punctures, jammed chain, broken phone, wrong turns on to motorways and getting lost for hours in Perth and Edinburgh. This meant a huge effort to make up for lost time. My last three days took me from Penrith to Knutsford (125 miles), Knutsford to Bristol (150 miles) and a marathon 21 hour cycle Bristol to Lands End (200 miles) getting me in with an hour to spare on my 7 day deadline..... It would be great to raise £1000 for the charity, Thanks for your support.

Sport 4 Life UK is a registered charity that exists to change lives through the power of sport in 4 fundamental ways:

…1) aims to tackle inequalities both at home and abroad through the synthesis of sports projects with programmes delivering inclusion, opportunity and empowerment to underprivileged peoples, as well as through directly bridging the gulf in sports provision between wealthy and disadvantaged communities.

... 2) aims to unify and strengthen communities through the provision of sports facilities, sports equipment, sports teams and sports programmes designed not only to bring people together but to also improve the physical and social character of the community.

... 3) aims to address the problems of obesity and lack of fitness through the provision of enjoyable and attainable exercise programmes, educational initiatives, and a broader promotion of sustainable lifestyle changes.

... 4) aims to mobilise sports professionals in the field of social action through the direct connection and involvement of sports professionals with community projects, as well as through the promotion of sports professionals’ ambassadorial roles.
