Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

In April I am running the London Marathon for Sue Ryder Care, and in particular, St John's Hospice, Moggerhanger, Bedford!

St John’s Hospice is an amazing place with a dedicated team providing respite, day and end of life care. It is a calm peaceful environment offering a wide range of services aiming to make patients as comfortable as possible and achieve the best quality of life.

I will be eternally grateful for the support my Mum received at St John’s. The nurses and therapists became her friends during her battle with cancer and she spent the last few weeks of her life being cared for by people she trusted. Raising funds for Sue Ryder Care is my chance to give something back and ensure other families receive the medical and emotional support provided to my Mum and our family during the 3 years she suffered with cancer.

Hannah Brooking is running the Paris Marathon and has kindly jumped on board the sponsorship band wagon to raise funds for Sue Ryder Care. Thanks for joining the cause Hannah!!!!!!

Please donate now to support a worthwhile cause!!

Thank you,
