We exist to help lost, injured or distressed persons in and around the North York Moors, Wolds and Coast. We also spends time in the local community educating people to be safe in the hills and what to do if something goes wrong. We are funded 100% from fundraising and voluntary contributions.

The route over 53 miles and with over 6000ft of accents is completed within 24hrs period starting at midday from Goathland and finishing by midday on the following day. The first walk took place in 1971 and was undertaken by a group from the team, the following year the event became a challenge walk open to the general public. This year is the 40th anniversary and to mark the occasion and again help raise much needed funds for the team a group from the team are going to undertake the walk on the 9/10th of July 2011.</span></span></p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
