My story
Our charming 14th Century Church in the small hamlet of Irstead, next to the River Ant on the Norfolk Broads, survives almost exactly as it was on its completion.
Regular services are held, the church is always decorated at festival times and an annual event held during Norfolk Open Churches Week in August.
Some former residents returned to visit "Irstead Memories" in August 2011 and told stories of sunday school, singing in the choir and pumping the organ. www.irstead.churchnorfolk.com
It is our 19th century organ, which now runs on electricity, that is in need of an overhaul, so we would be most grateful for any donations that will go towards ensuring the organ can be played for many years to come.
