St Bartholomew's Hospital has a long and proud history of caring, and now we are continuing to build on that past to ensure new standards of excellence for the future. At Barts we are developing a world-class specialist cancer centre, which will serve more than 1.5 million people in North East London and beyond. To achieve this however, we need to support new research, have access to new technology and shape an environment that is more suited to the needs of patients during difficult times. Your support can be dedicated to a specific ward or department, patient and staff amenities or research.

Story

Welcome to Stacey's Charity Page for her charity cycle ride through Vietnam 4th-16th November 2008!

Hey All!

At the culmination of the new year I decided to do something completey different and a friend and I decided to embark on a rewarding endeavour for charity and found a charity cycle ride to Vietnam from 4th-16th November 2008. I looked in to many charities and found the St Barts and the London Cancer Appeal. The Cancer Care Appeal is raising essential funds for Barts and The London Cancer Centre, to provide additional life-saving equipment, fund vital research and to ensure patients receive the best treatment possible in a calming environment.

Please help me by providing your support and dig deep and help me raise a minimum of 2650 pounds in order to assist the St Barts and The London Cancer Care Appeal which is aiming to raise a minimum of 100,000 pounds to develop a mulit faceted specialist cancer centre which will provide research and help build patient, staff and carers facilities, as well as create dedicated wards and specialist departments.

All other costs namely flights, equipment and so forth I will be paying for myself. I couldn't think of a better way in which to begin 2008 you help, compassion, donations and support  will be much appreciated, also the charity cycle ride to Vietnam will be an emotionally rewarding  and physially challenging experience that I'm proud to be a part of.
