Story
The Strutt and Parker Challenge 2016 is to support The Sebastian Coe Charitable Foundation supporting Cancer Research UK. We have set ourselves a target of £200,000 to be raised by our network of 55 offices throughout England and Scotland.
The money raised will directly fund The Francis Crick Institute, a cutting edge scientific research centre in St Pancras, London. 'The Crick' is due to open in Autumn 2016 and will be Europe's largest and most sophisticated health research centre. Over 1,250 of the world's best scientists will work under one roof conducting research into tackling all major disease. Working in the same building will help foster a collaborative research environment, accelerate the rate of progress and help translate breakthroughs into positive patient care.
The Crick is co-founded by Cancer Research UK, The Wellcome Trust, The Medical Research Council and London's leading research universities UCL, King's and Imperial. It will cost £650m and Cancer Research UK are the only partner raising their £100m contribution philanthropically.
The Sebastian Coe Charitable Foundation has committed to raising £2m of this target for Cancer Research UK and Strutt and Parker is delighted to be supporting such an exciting and vital project.
The Stamford office have committed to raising at least £3,000 towards Strutt and Parker's target of £200,000.
We thank you for your support in helping us to achieve our goal.
