We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

In aid of Cancer Research & the NSPCC, one man is determined to bring laughter and comedy to a small town pub in North East London, Destination: Highams Park. This man is Darren Driver.

Bringing you new material from both fresh acts and comedians on the circuit, Stand Up & Deliver! 2011 is the first of what will hopefully become an annual event, held here in Highams Park in the County Arms pub, upstairs in the function room. There will be prizes for the best act as well as (hopefully) prizes to be won and, hopefully, some laughs as well. The event is hosted by local boy Darren Driver, who will also be acting as compare.

Acts so far included (though subject to change):

Fat Kitten
Gary Southam
Rosie Martin
James Cole
Joanne Ogden

For those who wish to get to the venue from Central London, Highams Park is an overground station that can be got to from Walthamstow Central, situated on the Victoria Line.

If anyone would like to help out or even try your hands on a bit of stand up yourself, or know someone who would, please email Darren Driver at darren.driver@theprojectside.com
