My daughter Lucie Louise Lewis was born at Chelsea & Westminster hospital on the 24 July 2010 at 26 weeks, 3.5 months ahead of schedule and weighting less than 2 pounds. She was immediately admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital where she spent the next 5 months. During this time Lucie under went three life saving operations, sight saving laser eye surgery and numerous other minor operating procedures.
Thanks to the first class level of care provided by the Neonatal team at the hospital Lucie is now a happy healthy baby and I want to ensure that other children can benefit from the level of care that Lucie received.
Chelsea & Westminster hospital has London’s leading neonatal surgical team and with your help will have one of the countries first state of the art operating theatres specifically designed for babies and young children. The Children’s Hospital Trust Fund which specialises in raising money for children’s healthcare projects is looking to raise £1.535m to install and equip the new state of the art paediatric theatre.
I would therefore ask that you contribute as much as you can to help this fantastic cause reach its desired goal.
