Story
We are extending our wonderful reserve at Staveley and now need to raise £30,000 by the end of the year to restore the land for wildlife! We need you to help us raise this money so that our work to restore the former meadows and wetlands can begin, providing more habitats for the wildlife of Staveley. Every pound you raise or donate is gratefully received and moves us a step closer to achieving our vision.
We want to encourage our supporters to spread the word and do some fundraising! Every supporter who donates, or raises £250 or more, will secure the ‘adoption’ of a plot of Staveley, and this will be commemorated on site and with a simple certificate and map showing the location of your plot. Cake stalls, sponsored swims, walks or climbs, bring and buy sales – whatever fundraising ideas you have, just let us know and we will publicise your event on our website. There are just 79 plots left - for more information on adopting a plot call 01904 659570.
Staveley Nature Reserve is a paradise for birdwatchers and naturalists, with 40 hectares of natural beauty, teeming with birds, butterflies and wild flowers. With your support we will restore the new land to provide an even bigger haven for wildlife. We will also work hard to make the new land accessible to all, with new footpaths, wildlife viewpoints and nature trails. With your support my team of staff and local volunteers can ensure that wildlife returns for local people and visitors to enjoy. So please support Staveley and make a donation today.
