Thanks for taking the time to visit the Steel Magnolias JustGiving page (I'm also taking part in #SWIM22 (22 miles over 3 months March - June 2022) for the same cause)...so I'm not expecting you to donate twice, but, if you can't come and watch my production of this fantabulous show this October,  and can spare the price of a ticket (£12/£8), that would be so appreciated.

Diabetes UK is my chosen charity this year because while I'm not affected by it personally...I sort of am!  My mum passed away in 2018 from diabetes-related pneumonia (T1), my dad's T2 diabetes has resulted in blindness and and dialysis, and my dog Brandy is also diabetic and blind.  

Steel Magnolias is not only such a beautiful story of friendship and community (so important in the wake of the last couple of years), but it addresses diabetic complications, and we're performing it just before Diabetes Awareness Month (Nov) giving a great opportunity to keep the conversation going on this disease.

...plus, turns out, I've missed performing!
