When a fire-fighter’s alerter sounds and they leave their homes and race to the fire station, they have no idea what they are heading to. Whether it be a cat stuck up a tree, a fire at your home or place of work, a car accident or any other crisis that these brave men are called to they go without a second thought. When they run into a burning building, there is always the very real risk of serious injury, and when the worst happens not only fire fighters suffer, but also their families.
The Fire-fighters Charity helps
support injured fire fighters, both physically and emotionally, enabling them
to return to work faster. Unbelievably,
the Charity receives no government funding and relies entirely from beneficiary
