Cransley Hospice in Kettering provides Hospice care for North Northamptonshire. It is also the base for local Macmillan nurses who provide specialist care in the local hospitals and in patients' homes. Although within the NHS, Cransley Hospice relies heavily on charitable donations with the current requirement being £500,000 every year.

**NEWS** Monday 3rd November
All the money has been collected and handed in to Cransley Hospice now.  A further £221 has been added to the total to make over £600 (the £221 has not had the Gift Aid addition added to the total)
Thanks again to you all, I'll keep you updated on the next challenge.  It would have been the London Marathon but I missed out, so it looks like the Reading Half-Marathon in March.

**NEWS** Monday 22nd Sept
I managed to complete the race in 2hrs 24mins (not seen the exact times yet, should be on their website in the next few days).  Feeling a little bit of pain today!

Thank you to everyone that has donated, I'll update the exact total when I get the sponsor forms back, it looks like between £400 and £500 has been raised.

**NEWS** Thursday 18th Sept
Just a few days left now, my last run is tonight.  Probably just 4-5 miles

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  This is all in the aid of my Grandad who sadly past away in the care of the lovely people at Cransley Hospice in Kettering.  I'm also running on behalf of my best mate Jon who has sadly pulled out due to an injury, please direct all of his money here :-)

Cransley Hospice organise a yearly 'fun' run which I have signed up for, currently 3 weeks away on the 21st September 2008.  The run starts and ends at The Green in Cranford Village.

As most of you know I've had a desk job since leaving Uni in 2003.  You can understand how difficult this is for me to run a few miles let alone a half marathon.  I have been training though for a few months, pretty sure I wont be first and hopefully wont be last.  Somewhere in between those will be fine.

2 weeks of hard training left then a bit of a relax the week before.
