Story
Hi...as you have probably realised I am going to be taking part in the Great North Run in october. It's 13.1 miles, so hopefully we will all make it to the end!!
I am running in aid of The Anthony Nolan Trust who provide bone marrow donors for people with Leukemia. I am on their register, and it costs them £70 every time they add someone, so support from people like you is really important.
I know most of you are students, and don't have a lot of money to hand out, but remember there are people out there worse off than you, and so I hope you can all sponsor me, at least something, every little helps!!
Training is going well, I had a little set back these last 2 weeks as i bought some shoes that were apparently unsuitable and damaged my ankle, and so had to invest in some more. Hopefully it will recover more before the big day! Other than that all is well, I have been doing quite long distances so I am optimistic that i will make it to the end!!
Well the race is over and done, thank goodness, i must say!! It was the toughest thing i have ever done, but i'm so glad that we all managed to finish it, and i have to say how proud i am of my big sisters, carrying on through out the lucozade overdose! It was a very very painful experience, especially in the last few miles, but i managed to finish in a not so spectacular but still not so bad time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 28 seconds!!
Thank you everyone who sponsored me, i wouldnt have got very far without you!!
Please keep up your sponsorship!!Thank you!!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Anthony Nolan Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you so much!!
