Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Following the untimely death of a fellow running club member, John Ward; a great man and inspiration to many - I decided I wanted to try achieve something significant within my running (as he had), namely to join the 100 marathon club. Having ran only three at this point I had to get a wiggle on! Setting myself the challenge of running a marathon a month for a year seemed a good start.
Having grown up safe, cared for, and without fear of what many kids have to experience I can now see how valuble a good start in life is. Children in Need provide support in the form of grants to organisations working with children who may have experienced mental, physical or sensory disabilities; behavioural or psychological disorders; are living in poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BBC Children in Need gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
If you help me raise above £300 I'll run the last marathon in fancy dress - so come on...help make me look stupid and donate to a good cause at the same time.
So please sponsor me now!
