Story

Hi guys!

Well yes I HAVE DONE THE LONDON MARATHON! And, even better I amazed myself by doing it in 3 hours 59 mins 46 secs! I am so happy with my time for my first attempt at a marathon! The atmosphere was truly amazing, the crowds certainly get you round...and my personal supporters were fab! There were so many special moments throughout the course, that I could be writing forever but put it this way - I would do one again ;-)

Well anyway, down to the knitty gritty stuff now! To get my guaranteed place in the London Marathon I had to raise £2000 for my chosen charity, Tommy's. This was due to a close family member losing their baby at 40 weeks - so I really wanted to raise the funds for a charity dedicated to saving babies lives. If you want to visit my page for Tommy's it's www.justgiving.com/stefhouse

But...i've reached that £2000 target after a lot of hard work and effort! So now, I desperately want to raise an extra £500 in memory of a dear friend Nick Moon, who died on 7th January this year. Nick knew I was doing the marathon and thought I was crazy! I cared for Nick for a year and a half and feel privileged to have known him. Nick suffered from the worst strain of muscular dystrophy, Duchenne, and amazingly lived to the age of 55.

Nick's chosen charity was Dorset Scope and so I really want to raise an extra £500 in memory of him.

The last mile certainly was for you Nick - you are always in my thoughts...and I really did feel that you helped me round the marathon - especially because your picture was in my bumbag!

So please guys, DIG DEEP and help me to make Nick proud by raising money for such a worthwhile charity.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dorset Scope Limited will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you to everyone,

Stef -x-
