In July 2011, I am undertaking a trek across Iceland for 5 days to raise much needed money for Aims2Cure, a Charity who fund research into finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.   The 60km trek will be across Iceland’s challenging Southern Highlands, one of the country’s most actively volcanic areas.  The days will be long, covering difficult terrain, steep climbs and descents, as well as walking across snowfields.  We will be sleeping under canvas each night after having to put up our own tents!    To tell you a little bit more about Aims2Cure – they are a registered charity, established in 1999 who finance research into finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis at The Institute of Neurology and The Institute of Cell and Molecular Science, both in London.   In 2007 Aims2Cure set up The Michele Elster Foundation to help fund MS sufferers directly with their everyday lives.  The late Michele Elster was an MS sufferer who tragically lost her life to the disease in 2006.   To date, Aims2Cure have raised over £750,000 to try and eradicate one of the most common neurological diseases amongst young adults, currently affecting around 85,000 people in the UK.   I am writing to ask if you would sponsor me and thus help Aims2Cure continue their amazing work.  To do this, please log onto my Just Giving page <a href="http://www.justgiving.com/YOUR-%20NAME">www.justgiving.com/</a>stephanie reid or by simply sending me a cheque made payable to Aims2Cure.    I am making a contribution towards the cost of the trek myself and the charity are paying the balance.  I would be very grateful and appreciative for any support you may be able to give to finding a cure into the unbearable disease that is Multiple Sclerosis.   Thank you for taking the time to read this.  I have already begun my strict training regime for this exciting challenge and I am determined and passionate about this cause.  I hope you feel as strongly as I do and your generosity will be greatly appreciated not only by the charity but by all those they are trying so hard to help.   If you would like more information about Aims2Cure, please visit their website at www.aims2cure.org.uk.        Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
