On the 26th April 2009 i will be running in the Flora London Marathon !!! 

I have been fortunate enough to get a "Golden Bond Place" through my chosen charity LUPUS UK, This is a cause close to the hearts of our family since my mum died of the disease at just 43 years old in 1994.

Many of you will not have heard of lupus ( Systemic lupus erythematosus ) and although there is still no cure much research has been done and those diagnosed are now able to live longer with medication able to control the disease to some degree.

Since the disease is so rare, unfortunately LUPUS UK does not capture the imagination as do charitable organisations associated with more common illnesses. So that the vital research work and patient support can continue we need you to sponser us now!
