Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our dad was diagnosed with lung cancer on the 14 April 2011.
Despite the best efforts of the cancer treatment specialists he passed
away 6 months later on the 6 October 2011……1 day short of his 70 Birthday.
He did not go without a fight…..
As a family we wanted to commemorate his anniversary with something positive.

Lung cancer is the most common cancer in the world
Lung cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosed in the UK after breast cancer.
Lung cancer is the second most common cancer in UK men after prostate cancer, and the third most common cancer in UK women after breast and bowel cancer
Around 41,000 people were diagnosed with lung cancer in the UK in 2008, it has a 95% mortality rate within 5 years of diagnosis……
