The three of us (John Finnegan, Steve Barton, & Stephen Hawkins) are doing a series of events this spring & Summer to raise money for the Homeless World Cup. This year the tournament will be in Amsterdam, Holland 12^th – 19^th September.

The Homeless World cup is a network of 70 international partner organisations that use football to improve the lives of Homeless people throughout the world

The Homeless World Cup uses the power of football to energise homeless people so they can change their own lives.

It supports grass-roots football programmes and social enterprise development via a network of 70 national partners and celebrates its work by organising an annual football tournament that unites teams of homeless people from countries all around the globe.

At the annual Homeless World Cup tournament, the national partners come together to demonstrate how football has the power to change people's lives. The tournament also celebrates the year-round work of the organisation and creates an opportunity for players to represent their country and meet and build relationships with homeless people from other countries. It also lights up the hearts and minds of everyone it touches and changes people's attitudes to homelessness – in all cities where the tournament is held, people who are homeless report improved relations with the public.

The Homeless World Cup Foundation is a unique, pioneering charity which uses football to inspire homeless people to change their own lives. We support grassroots football programmes and social enterprise development through a network of more than 70 Street Football Partners. We provide a focus for—and celebration of—their year-round activity by organising and delivering an annual, world-class, international football tournament for national teams of men and women who are homeless. Since 2001, we have been committed to “changing the lives of people who are homeless through football.” Today, the work of our movement is varied and extensive - from building awareness about homelessness and raising funds for our activities, to organising our annual Homeless World Cup tournament. The Homeless World Cup Tournament is our flagship event. Delivered by the Homeless World Cup Foundation in co-ordination with a Local Organising Committee, the event brings together teams from all around the world for an inspiring week-long festival of football. Participating teams are managed by our Street Football Partners and are formed by men and women all of whom have experienced homelessness.
