Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

Hi, my name is Steve Moore and 3 years ago, I lost my mum due to the complications caused by type-2 diabetes. My brother was also diagnosed with type-1 diabetes at the age of 7. After a very long wait, he underwent a pioneering  kidney and pancreas transplant, but is still struggling to this day. He is about to start dialysis, due to the kidney failing. To generate awareness and fund research, I  decided to undertake a physical challenge, providing support for people that live with this condition every day.

On August 17th, I left Land's End to begin my ride, arriving at John O'Groats, on August 31st. The ride was 935 miles. A massive thank you to everyone who has donated, and supported me on this challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. Please give generously and spread the word.
