On Saturday 20th June I successfully cycled all 67 miles from Edinburgh to St Andrews. I managed to cycle up all the hills and despite having puncture resistant tyres I manage to sustain one flat tyre in Strathmiglo, Fife. Thanks to Graham Bowie for helping me to fix it.
As a result of everyone's generosity in raising over £1,000, Nathan and I completed Pedal for Scotland on Sunday 13 September from Glasgow to Edinburgh. A distance of over 50 miles. We pedalled together for a total of 4 hours and 40 minutes as well as stopping for lunch at Linlithgow Palace. Nathan completed the full 50 miles and really helped with the pedalling towards the end. I was so impressed that I am hoping that we have found the next Chris Hoy!
All the money will be donated to MyelomaUK. Heather who is the Auntie and Godmother of my wife, Sarah, suffers from Myeloma. There is currently no cure available, although treatments are improving that are helping to increase patients' life expectancy. Throughout her treatment MyelomaUK have offered crucial support to Heather and her family. I hope that you will donate generously so that they can continue to help others like Heather.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Myeloma UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
