Many thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I have entered the annual Property Triathlon which is being held on Friday 3rd July 2009 at Dorney Lake, Eton. The event consists of 3 elements: a 750m open-water swim (in the lake, in a wetsuit), a 20k/12.4mile cycle ride and a 5k/3.1mile run. This will be my first triathlon (at the tender age of 44) and the training is going reasonably well so far. My aim is to complete the whole event in less than 2 hours.
Merely mention the word 'cancer' and sadly most people can recall an encounter whether through direct experience or via close family and friends. I certainly fall in to one of those categories which is why I have chosen to raise funds for Kent Cancer Trust. As many of you know my family and I reside in Kent and intend to remain there for the foreseeable future. This charity not only provides better cancer care for Kent residents but it also undertakes valuable research in to various forms of the disease, which will ultimately benefit all. Kent Cancer Trust is currently raising funds for a series of research projects in to the cause and treatment of cancer, with a view to the development of new treatments.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kent Cancer Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! It doesn't matter how much you give as every penny counts!
Many thanks,
Stephen.
