Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm being a bit of a copy cat since the lovely Tracey Carmicheal shaved her head for The Olivia Rae Foundation last year and raised an amazing amount of money!
I'm not as brave as her, and instead of a total shave, it'll be cut to above my shoulders. But since I've had waist length hair all my life, it's pretty scary!
I'm all booked in for March 5th, which would have been Liv's 20th birthday.
So please be generous, any donation, no matter how small is welcome!
For those of you not lucky enough to know Liv;
Livvy Clee Barnett was a right stunner of a girl, with a ridiculous laugh, an evil, silly sense of humour and a passion for performing arts.
She passed away on January 2nd, 2011 at the age of 17 after contracting influenza and a secondary bacterial infection which lead to severe sepsis. To be honest; how she died, doesn't matter. It's what she did and who she was during her life that's the important thing. I am incredibly privaledged to have known her.
The Olivia Rae Foundation:
is a charity started over a year ago by Liv's lovely family. The charity gives grants to Merseyside based charities with an interest in The Arts and education. It's already done some amazing work; in 2012, it gave it's first grant to help fund the very talented Michael Nelson's performing arts education. In 2013 and beyond, who knows what the Foundation could do?
