Story
Hello
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are a team of 10 students from Oxford who are going to Bolivia, with the charity Latin Link, for 6 weeks this summer. Our main project will be practical work within a poor community; building
classrooms for the nursery in the town of Apolo.
In addition, we will run activities with street children from the surrounding area and help lead the local youth clubs, and children's clubs. and go into local schools.
We will help out in churches in the area, and hope to form lasting relationships with the community in which we are based. Also as part of our time over there we will going out to rural villages to visit Christian families and reach out where there are no Christians. During this time we are planning to help with a small practical project repairing a church building. During this time we would also like to work with children and it would be good if you could share in a church.
Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in South America. It has struggled through periods of political instability, dictatorships and economic woes and currently has its first indigenous leader.
