Update, 15th December 2010:  Today, thanks to the generosity of Steve's employers, his total funds raised (inc. Gift Aid) has hit greater heights than any of us ever could have imagined when we launched this page.

£10,024.66 - amazing, astonishing, fantastic, astounding, outstanding, incredible, marvellous, phenomenal, stupendous, unbelievable, wonderful, extraordinary, awesome, great, fabulous, remarkable, magnificent...there aren't enough words to express just how brilliant this total is!!!  Myself, the BT Buddies team, Steve's loving wife, Jackie, his children Lucy, Nick, Daniel, Denzel, Lauren, his parents, Brother Mark and Sister-in-law Lynda, and the wider family are all grateful for the love and support shown to them and to Steve throughout his illness and in the days and weeks since his passing.

For those closest to Steve the coming days will be particularly tough ones and I know your continued thoughts and, prayers throughout the 'holiday' season will be very much appreciated.

Forever in our thoughts Mr B x

Update, 4th December 2010: Thanks to a wonderful anonymous donor who raised £450 walking as part of BT Buddies day at Watford FC Steve's total, including gift aid, has reached a fantastic £7,925.92!

Update, 27th October 2010: Following an amazing few days surrounding the BT Buddies day at Watford FC we a thrilled to say that Steve's fellow hornets have managed to raise a brilliant £1,891!! This takes Steve's total to almost £7,500 including gift aid and we know he would be absolutely blown away by everything that happened this past week or so. You can view the Watford FC players BT Buddies video and more info by clicking here.

Update, 17th October 2010: Steve's wonderful wife, Jackie, his children, grandchildren, parents, all the family and the team at BT Buddies would like to thank everyone that has donated here over the last few weeks, we know Steve would be thrilled to see the total fast approaching the £5,000 (without Gift Aid!).
For those who were unable to attend Steve's 'party' we have added the 'match report' here along with the songs chosen by Steve.
We'd also like to ask that you continue to keep Jackie, the children and the rest of their family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming weeks and months. Thank you.

Update, 29th September 2010: Steve's 'Party' will be held on Wednesday 6th October at 11.30am at Kings Lynn Crematorium, PE32 1HB, and after at The Sandboy Public House a little further along Gayton Road. All are welcome. No black ties please only yellow tops, ties, t-shirts or body paint!Steve requested family flowers only and donations to a charity close to his heart, BT Buddies.

Update, 27th September 2010: It is with great sadness that we have to tell you Steve passed away peacefully earlier today surrounded by his loving family.

A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend, BT Buddy, Avid Watford F.C. supporter, Founder of the Norfolk Hornets...and GOLDEN BOY FOREVER...

Please continue too keep Steve's wife Jackie, his children, parents, grandchildren and other family and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

A Book of Remembrance for Steve can be viewed and signed here.

UPDATE: A message from Steve "I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for the awesome support shown to both BT Buddies and to myself. To raise £895 within 36 hours of going live is quite astonishing and I appreciate it so much as does Mrs B, it does us so much good. It just goes to prove the power of the BT Buddies family and the WFC family pulling together. Thank you xx"

If you would like one (or more!) of Steve's super yellow wristbands please email btbuddiesstevebrister@yahoo.co.uk and we'll get them to you as soon as we can!

This page has been setup for all those supporting Steve, his wife Jackie and all the family. Over the past few days the yellow wristband (left) has appeared on facebook profiles across the country (and the world!) so, on behalf of Steve and Jackie, we have setup this page where anyone wishing to purchase a wristband can make a small donation to Steve's chosen charity.

After his cancer had spread to his brain, Steve found an organisation called BT Buddies and was keen to get to speak to others going through a similar journey as him. He quickly became a moderator of their weekly online support group and helped BT Buddies enormously when he got Watford F.C. to help raise awareness of the disease.

As Steve continues his battle we hope you will join us in supporting him and all his family, not just with donations and wearing wristbands but by keeping them all in your thoughts at this difficult time.

P.S. We'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

P.P.S. If you would like to know more about other merchandise BT Buddies has for sale please email info@btbuddies.org.uk and someone will get back to you asap.
