Afghanaid is a British humanitarian and development organisation. For forty years, our dedicated personnel have worked with millions of families in some of the poorest regions in Afghanistan to provide basic services and help communities adapt to climate change and natural disasters.

Story

Mission Accomplished!

On April 17, I completed the London Marathon in the unimpressive time of 5 hours and 35 minutes.

I would have liked to go a little faster, but the Afghan hat (see pic) was rather warm and the generally baggy Afghan clothing made for a nice excuse for my slothfulness.

Thank you to all who have sponsored me. Not so far off that target anymore, so please do donate if you haven't already.

As for me, it's time to hang up my running boots and return to more leisurely and knee-friendly pursuits such as swimming, walking and watching TV... I can feel that Middle Aged Spread making progress already.
