Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Starting at 2PM on 21st June 2012, and finishing 24 hours later, I will be attempting to break the "furthest distance completed aboard a mobility scooter within 24 hours" Guinness world record at the Peterborough Speedway track during the 2012 Mobility Roadshow.

The current record is 154 miles, set in May 2011, and my intention is to try and set the record at 200+ miles.

Whilst doing this, I wish to raise funds for the Royal British Legion, and

Accessible Motorsport (https://sites.google.com/site/skmotorsport76/accessible-motorsport),

a Not-for-Profit project to run and subsidise for users a fully adapted, race specification car for persons who still wish to live their motorsport dream.

My background is as a race marshal, disabled in an motorsport accident in 2000, and now 12 years later proving to the world there is life after such a major life changing moment. For more details, visit http://www.stevetarrant-marshal.co.uk/

So please dig deep and donate now.
