Story
In a serious bid to regain fitness after a few sedentary years, I have started road running again and have had my entry accepted to the Barns Green Horsham Half Marathon on Sunday October 29th 2006.
As my 14 year old niece Charlotte Adams has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, I have decided that I should canvass sponsorship donations for the charity of her choice - which is the 'Leukaemia Busters' organisation based at Southampton Hospital where she has been treated.
I would urge you all to visit their website on www.leukaemiabusters.org.uk and take note of all the hard work they are carrying out in an effort to find a cure for this terrible illness, but like all organisations they require a huge amount of money to allow them to continue and donations are a much needed source of income.
It would be fantastic if you, your family, friends or work colleagues would consider sponsoring me for the 13 . 1 miles - every little helps.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Busters will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
Steve
