Thank you for visiting our fundraising page, through this we hope to raise money for Action Heart.  We'd like to give something back for all of the help, support and advice they have given Chris' Dad (and the rest of us!) since his heart operation and hope that we can raise funds to help them continue their very valuable work.

How have they helped?  This organisation has a brilliant cardiac rehab unit which is helping Chris' Dad to recover from heart surgery, getting him back to the fitness level he had before last August.  Action Heart provides practical advice classes and fitness sessions to everyone in the area who undergoes heart surgery or is recovering from a cardiac condition.  This rehab programme also helps patients and their families to re-gain confidence and to fully understand what has happened to their loved ones.  This service is not provided by the NHS and there are many volunteers who help to run the fitness centre and advice classes.
