The daughter of a close friend of mine sadly lost her battle against Cystic Fibrosis in December last year, at the age of 17.  Philip, her father, has set himself the task of raising at least £25,000 for CFT in her memory.  He will be running 3 marathons on 3 different continents over the next 15 months. A number of his friends and family members are also undertaking individual fundraising challenges to contribute towards this goal.

To help Philip raise money, I have entered the 2008 Isle of Wight Randonnee organised by the Wayfarers CTC. This involves cycling a 100km route around the whole of the Isle of Wight mainly following the Round-the-Island cycle route and taking minor roads and lanes where possible.
