Yorkshire is one of the regions hardest hit by cancer. Together, we can change this. Yorkshire Cancer Research is a charity dedicated to finding new cancer cures and treatments and bringing them to people in Yorkshire. Our aim is for more people to survive cancer, in Yorkshire and beyond.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please put your hand in your pocket and help me to help Yorkshire Cancer Research fund more work into finding treatments for these terrible diseases.

In January this year my wonderful wife Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer. The treatment is fantastic but the feeling of helplessness is debilitating. I hope that by raising money for the charity I can contribute to others not having to go through this awful situation.

I know that many of my mates are loaded (yes I do mean you) and even if you're not it'll still make you feel fantastic if you make just a small donation. Go on do it now and smile at my agony (see photo). I look like this for most of the 13 miles (and when I'm watching Leeds Utd, being presented with the restaurant bill etc etc)

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Yorkshire Cancer Research will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
