Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm running in the London Marathon on the 26th April, courtesy of my running club, and have seen it as an opportunity to raise money for a charity. I have chosen "Africa's Future".

I always feel that we are privileged in our society in a host of ways, whereas so many people around the world don't share the same degree of affluence, and experience poverty and suffering.

I have put a lot into training, rain or shine, and feel (almost!) ready for the event so please give generously.

I hope you like my hat!

I won't be wearing it on the day, but when I get to the finish line I'll certainly be brandishing a large smile!

Well, the race is run and I crossed the finished line after some struggling with the heat  during the 2nd half of the course.

Contrary to expectations, I wasn't smiling  as I made the last pitch from Buckingham Palace to the finish line but definitely experienced a great sense of relief!!

Anyway, it was an fabulous day, the supporters were brilliant with ample supplies of water and deafening cheers, and I put in my all, so please help me to raise the remainder to reach the target for this deserving charity.
