Like all The Fundracers, there is a very personal reason for me taking part in this brilliant event. In 2005, my young brother Matthew (below) was diagnosed with Leukaemia to the great shock of all my family and I. Despite the efforts and the treatment from Alder Hey Childrens Hospital in Liverpool, he died only months later because of complications, exacerbated by his non-functioning immune system due to the chemotherapy.

Throughout Matty's treatment Leukaemia Busters were an invaluable source of information and support to my family, who were being torn apart by something for which they had no control, nor knowledge of this form of cancer. I cannot thank Leukaemia Busters enough, and I'm delighted they have given me permission to ride in aid of the amazing charity! I cannot wait for April 2010 and I think it will certainly be down as one of my life-defining achievements. I have no doubt that The Fundracers will be a 100% success, given the determination of the whole team and willingness to prove we can put on this event. I also have no doubt that I am going to win! :)

If you are willing to be kind enough to donate then please tick the gift aid box if you are a Tax Payer as this will be of no extra cost to you but means that the charity can claim an extra from the government on top of your donation.

Every day we will be uploading pics and videos of each stage to give you a laugh and to show you the effort that we are putting into this tough challenge so please dig deep and donate. Thank you very much X
