Scuba Challenge 2013 · 27 April 2013

Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) is an internationally acclaimed user led charity. With over 30 years’ experience of developing and delivering mobility and independent living services, our aim is to support disabled people and people living with long term health conditions.

Story

This event is being held at Sankey Leisure Centre on April 27th 4pm to 8pm and is being supported by Terry Wood and his team from Cheshire Scuba Academy with help and equipment. WDP Chairman and Founder Dave Thompson plans to swim 1 MILE underwater, despite being a full time wheelchair user since 1989, with limited use in his left arm, and none in his right arm and legs. He will be joined by friends and collegues including me, I hope to swim underwater in a test dive and then swim with Dave for as much of the  64 lengths needed to complete a full mile I cna do.
