Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
OK - now, I know I'm pretty much all out of favours after the overwhelming support I had for the Expedition to Baffin Island, but if I have any favours left I'd very greatfully receive any few pence you may be able to push my way, for my attempt on this year's Great North Run!
Helped by the exposure my Expedition raised in the local press, my sister Gillian - with a lot of ongoing support from Epilepsy Action - has now established the first Epilepsy Support Group in Chichester, which meet monthly. Funds from sponsorship like this help many people across the country to meet, talk and get advice from fellow members and Epilepsy Action representatives, about how to deal with not only having Epilepsy, but also living and working with family members and colleagues who are affected.
I'm delighted to say I'll be attending their next meeting in Chichester on Tuesday 16th September (7pm) to talk about my Expedition, so if you're free give Gill a call for the details and come along!
Funds are essential for these meetings, which help to pay for representatives, venue hire, advertising, support information and also providing telephone support and the Epilepsy Action website, which receives over 100,000 visits a month.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Action gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you again!
