Story

We did it!!!! I was going to do it alone, but luckily I managed to rope in a couple of fellow Round Tablers from other Tables to complete the challenge yesterday morning.

We battled through the big girly screams, the excitement, the nausia, the boredom, the pain, the hail stones, the crowds and we came out victorious! 36 times in the Cobra in just over 2 hours of roller coastering!

What has made it even more worthwhile has been the generosity of you all. It has been SO much more than I ever expected and yet we are still bringing it in with people saying they just haven't got around to it yet.

Go on, just a few pound to help grant a wish for a terminally ill child. Let's bring a smile to their faces...

A big thank you.

>>PREVIOUS INFORMATION>>

My year as Chairman of Petersfield Round Table is almost at an end. Thursday 12th April will be my last day and I hand over to someone new, so I would like to go out with one last flurry of money raising.

As part of a nationwide effort by all of Round Table, we are looking to raise enough money to make alot of wishes come true for some children with life threatening illnesses. See the RTCW link for more information on this great charity.

Part of a challenge set by our National President was to travel as little as 10 miles in an 'unusual way' and I have decided, with the very kind help of Paultons Park, to do it by rollercoaster!!! At 10am on Thursday 12th April, I will sit down in the seat of the Cobra rollercoaster and not get out again until I have completed it 36 times.

Surely this effort is enough to spare a few pounds to help make a few wishes come true for some very ill children?

So a big thank you for digging deep and donating now as I may not be able to say thank you after Thursday, I may be feeling too ill!!

Donating through JustGivng is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
