Thank you for visiting my fundraising page in aid of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The disease is terminal and claims the lives of more people each day in the UK than AIDS. Life expectancy with MND is just 2-5 yrs with more than half succumbing to the illness within 14 months. Unfortunately little is known about the disease which affects the lives of so many people and their families, and as a result receives very little, and much needed funding. Stephen Hawkins is a sufferer of MND for those unaware of the illness, as was my father who bravely fought the illness whilst raising large sums of money for the charity.
In an effort to raise as much needed revenue as possible for research into the disease, I shall attempt to drive myself, one sled, a pack of Huskies and a compass across 215km of frozen lakes and plains high up in the Arctic Circle during the Arctic Winter!
Please feel free to sponsor me for as little or as much as you can. Every penny counts and is much appreciated no matter how large or small the amount. It will certainly make my freezin my behind off for a week less painfull and more worthwhile.
If you would like to read more information about MND, please visit www.mndassociation.org
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Motor Neurone Disease Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. Steve
