Raising money for Southfield Riding for the Disabled Group

On November 18th Steve & Martyn will set off from Dorset by car on a 1,200 mile round trip to the Beaujolais region of France, timing their arrival for around midnight on Wednesday 19th, when the new 2008 vintage is officially released.

Having collected several cases from the renowned Georges Duboeuf vineyard, they'll be dashing back across France through the night in order to catch a midday Chunnel train and get the wine back to Bournemouth by late afternoon on the day of its release. Whilst this isn't a race, and speed limits must be respected, timing will nevertheless be tight, and committments to provide quantities of the wine to local hostelries need to be fulfilled for the event to be successful !

Martyn himself comments: 'Steve's long-standing support for Southfield RDA is well-known to many, and I'm delighted to be joining him in this fundraising activity. The opportunity to blend our joint interest in wine with such a worthy pursuit is something I'm proud to be associated with, and I know it will help make a difference to those who rely on the sort of support that Southfield provides'.
