Story

Hello and welcome to my fundraising page!

As many of you know Paula's brother Matthew was tragically killed in a car accident on 29 March 2008. Since that day I have been thinking of a way to do something in his memory, and as a marathon is something I have always wanted to do, I thought it would be a good way of honouring Matthew and raising money for a worthy cause.

I have chosen to run the New York Marathon on 1 November and I am hoping to do it in under 4 hours - a challenge for any first marathon!

With regards to my charity, I have chosen Brake given they are linked to road crash victims and they offered support to the Melly's after Matthew's death.

BRAKE is the national charity for road safety in the UK, working to stop death and injury on UK roads and to support people who have been bereaved or injured by a road crash.

So please help me to raise as much money as possible in memory of Matthew and for this worthy cause - thanks!
