Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I took part in the London to Brighton 56 mile, multi terrain race on Sunday 5 Oct 2008. The race started at 0700 hrs from General Woolfe's statue in Greenwich Park and finishing at Brighton Pavillion. I completed the event in 14 hours. But ended up running 62 miles due to a slight error in navigation??. This was one of my toughest events I have taken on. I had chosen this charity as I wanted to support our heroes, as I myself served in the Royal Engineers for 23 years, 9 of those as an Airborne Engineer. The weather on the day was rain ,rain, and more rain, making the run so enjoyable, With a top support team of Dave Rutter, Tony Manley and for the last 10 miles Bob Chatterton who ran with me to the end, to open gates, help me over the numerous stiles that were along the route. I give a big thank you. And also to all of the people, who donated through the web site.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me, if you still want.: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please, add a bit more if you want to add to the total.
Cheers
