Hello! Thanks so much for taking a look at our webpage. This already means you are a lovely person. You will now instantly treble your loveliness by dropping a few pennies into our virtual collection tin for the Alzheimer's Society.

When thinking about which charity we would like to benefit from our wedding, Alzheimer's was an obvious choice. Both of us have experience of loved ones suffering the terror of dementia - not to get too miserable but it really is proper awful. The work that the Alzheimer's Society do in researching the disease and providing services and support to sufferers and their families, well , we think it's pretty important and deserves our support. For more information, see http://www.alzheimers.co.uk.

Don't tell anyone, but we're intending to make our Coast2Coast bike ride more of a sojourn than a sprint. We'll be taking about four days to cross the 140 miles from Whitehaven in the North West to Sunderland (where Caroline's Grandma lived), leaving plenty of time for long lunches and honey-moonish mooning about. See http://www.c2c-guide.co.uk/ for some pretty pictures.

Steve has insisted that we end our ride at a luxury spa hotel so he can indulge his fondness for pedicures and pampering.  Caroline's conceded to this as long as she can drink 10 pints of bitter in a proper pub and play darts with the Geordie locals. Between us, we'll be very happy.

We hope to see you on August 15th if not before.

Steve and Caroline xxxx

ps. Just in case this isn't clear, we'll be paying the costs of the trip ourselves so all your donations are going straight to the Alzheimer's Society. Brill.
