On July 19th, four members of SSgA's Global Cash team (http://www.ssga.com/) will participate in the Trailwalker UK, a State Street Corporation-sponsored fundraising event which benefits both Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust.  This 100 kilometer (63 mile) walk travels along South Downs Way, one of the oldest routes in Britain.  We will join approximately 450 other teams over 30 hours - with only limited walking breaks at ten volunteer-staffed checkpoints - to complete this challenging course.

Oxfam (http://www.oxfam.org.uk/) is a UK-based charity focused on reducing global poverty by providing development resources, emergency services and politicial leadership.  The Gurkha Welfare Trust (http://www.gwt.org.uk/) was established in 1969 to provide financial, medical and community aid to ex-servicemen and their dependents in the Gurkha homeland of Nepal.  The funds raised from the Trailwalker will help to fund community aid projects such as school construction and renovations as well as sanitation and clean water projects.
