We provide UK-wide support and information to improve life after brain injury

Story

Steven Griffiths was in Fuertaventura assisting a friend in a wheelchair up a step when he fell, ending up with very severe injuries.

He is now in the neurology unit in Gran Canaria's hospital but needs to get back to the UK for specialist treatment and rehabilitation. This cost is not covered by the European Health Insurance Card and the family are desperate to raise the money to get him home. This will cover the costs of specialist air ambulance, medical staff, ambulances in Gran Canaria and the UK, translations and laising with the UK hospital.

The family are extremely grateful to Headway for their support and to the friends who have supported them so far. In particular:

We would like to thank Tesco's for allowing a bucket collection in there 2 stores Rotherham and Wath, which collectively raised over £3000.

Along with:

The Albert Club 'Stars in their eyes' event, supported by Eric Brown and the Stars in their eyes cast, who were very professional.
Keith Tindle who had a sponsored chest wax (very painful)
The Queens at Rawmarsh collection box.
The Westville Collection box.
A personal donation from Vicky Brown.
Team Blacks Hawks Inline hockey club collection

All of these events raised over £1500

Thank you once again for your support!
