I completed the London Marathon successfully in 4 hours, 4 minutes and 25 seconds and managed to beat Ben Fogle and Amanda Holden so I'm very happy with that result!

As many of you know, I’m profoundly deaf from birth. My deafness was identified when I was 6 months old and I had my first hearing aids when I was 9 months old. In these early days the RNID provided a lot of support to my parents and helped them to find the help and support that I needed.

Thanks to the early support of the RNID to my parents, I now lead a happy life and have a successful career working in central London for a leading web design agency. Without the support of the RNID and the help of my parents, I would not be where I am today.

I have been thinking for quite a while now how I can help repay the RNID for the help they gave me when I needed it most. I decided that I would run in the London Marathon for the RNID.

I hope that every step I take in the marathon will help raise money for the RNID and help other parents of deaf children who must be frightened for their future. I would like to show those anxious parents that deafness can be overcome and that it’s possible for these children to grow up leading happy and successful lives.
