Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the past 6 years I've had the pleasure of helping Epilepsy Action raise funds walking up Ben Nevis, running numerous Half Marathons and 10kms, embarking on Arctic Expeditions across Baffin Island in 2008 and more recently an attempt on the Magnetic North Pole in 2010. On other challenges over the past few years I've walked 30 miles across the Cotswolds, and twice done the Itex - 50 miles in one day around the island of Jersey.
However, the physical challenge of running a Marathon is one that will exceed any training I've done before - there is a big difference between this and a half marathon, or even training for a very long walk!
The training however is already underway and I'm determined to give it my very best shot for this excellent Charity. Over the past few years I've had the pleasure of presenting to a number Epilepsy Support Groups about the challenges I've undertaken, and always approached them recognising that many in my audience face daily challenges which exceeds anything I've undertaken.
Please take a moment to visit Epilepsy Action's award-winning website and see for yourself the excellent support they provide to the hundreds of thousands in this country alone, who face uncertainty and prejudice in their personal and professional lives on a daily basis. Your support helps to promote understanding, provide helplines and support (especially through their Saphire Nurse scheme), and run monthly support groups all over the country giving an understanding forum for thousands - both for people with Epilepsy and also their families, many of whom have few other avenues to turn to.
And then, please make a donation.
