Retrak - Brussels 20km · 25 May 2008 ·

Retrak enables street children to have a real alternative to life on the street. Working in Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya and more we provide healthcare, refuge and education so street children can realise their potential and discover their worth.

Story

Dear Family, Friends, Colleagues and Supporters!

Last time we went canoing for fun, now me, Marieke, John, Thierry and 53 other folks are giving up their lazy Sunday afternoon to run the 20km of Brussels for Retrak on Sunday, 25 May 2008!  I haven't seen much of my friends lately because I'm too busy training!  Who talked me into this?!!

Retrak in action! See RETRAK in action at the organisations flagship project - The Tigers Club, in Kampala, Uganda. Retrak also operates in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Nairobi, Kenya.  The clip is hosted by the very handsome actor James McAvoy (Last King of Scotland, Atonement): http://www.retrak.org/content/view/122/213/

Please donate generously!  I can take care of my hospital bills after the 20km, you can consider making a huge difference to a child’s life! For example:

£10 (€13 or $20) will feed 20 children for a day in Uganda.

£20 (€26 or $40) will provide a school uniform for a child in Ethiopia.

£50 (€65 or $100) will fund an away match for our street boys football team against another club.

£75 (€98 or $150) will provide business training for a young person in Uganda.
