Many thanks for your support.

I've officially peaked! Did my last endurance run on Sunday (4th April) of 23 miles, just 3 and a bit more and I've made it. As the training schedules say, I'm now tapering my training for the big day. Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me on bahalf of the BLF, you've definitely got your moneys worth out of me so far. Looking forward to a week of nights in and not running for hours on end! Cheers all, will see you on the big day.

Another PB!! Liverpool 1/2 marathonon Sunday13th March in preparation for the big thing next month (only 5 weeks away!!). Was supposed to take it easy but got carried away to do it in 1 hour 37 mins coming 571 out of 5000. Limping a bit today though. Bring it on!!!!!!!............. Latest race today - just done the North West Half Marathon - beat my 10 mile time from Stockport (1hr 18min Stockport) - 1hour 14min - Blackpool. Final time 1 hr 40min. Not too bad I reckon and managed to finish before a lot of club runners. Not bad considering I managed 2 miles only when I started!! I'm now up to a few miles per week now and maybe not so chubby. Just done the Stockport 10 miler (see picture) and managed 318th place and a time of around 1 hour 18 mins. Was fair puffed tho'. Next stop - Blackpool half marathon in Feb. Just realising how far 26 miles is!!!! Ok so that's the nicities over. Thanks to a night in a pub with some friends it was pointed out to me that I was on my way to getting a bit podgy around the chops! So, not one to shirk from a challenge (and one put so succinctly!) I have decided to do something about it!! By running for 26 miles around London with a whole bunch of other fools. The British Lung Foundation is very close to my heart, whilst working in chest medicine I have seen the enormous support that they give to all patients with lung disease. I hope that I can help with this small effort to raise some sponsorship and more importantly help raise the profile of this cause. Please support the good work done by these amazing people by sponsoring me on my run. By helping support the cause against lung disease you are likely to be helping at least five people you know. Cheers Steve
